The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh has opened the JEECUP 2026 Round 6 choice filling facility for candidates participating in the counselling process.

The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh has opened the JEECUP 2026 Round 6 choice filling facility for candidates participating in the counselling process. Candidates can visit the official portal, jeecup.admissions.nic.in, to enter and save their preferred institutes and courses for the special round of seat allotment. The Round 6 choice filling process began on August 21, 2026, as notified by JEECUP. Round 6 is the special counselling round for admissions to diploma and polytechnic courses in government, aided and private polytechnic institutes across Uttar Pradesh. Candidates who were not allotted seats in the earlier rounds can also participate, subject to the prescribed eligibility conditions. Seat allotment will be based on the candidate's rank, category, choices and availability of seats. Candidates must complete and lock their choices before the deadline. If choices are not locked within the specified period, the system will automatically lock them.

Who Is Eligible for JEECUP Round 6 2026?

  • Candidates who appeared in the JEECUP 2026 examination.
  • Candidates who registered for JEECUP counselling and meet the eligibility requirements.
  • Candidates who participated in Round 1 or subsequent rounds but were not allotted a seat.
  • Candidates who were allotted a seat but failed to report to the institute, if permitted under the counselling rules.
  • Candidates must have a valid JEECUP 2026 rank and complete the required counselling registration. They should also verify their category and eligibility before entering choices.

How to Fill Choices for JEECUP 2026 Round 6?

Candidates can complete the choice filling process by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official JEECUP counselling portal at jeecup.admissions.nic.in.
  2. Click on the Round 6 Candidate Login link.
  3. Enter the JEECUP 2026 application number and password.
  4. Read the instructions displayed on the choice filling portal.
  5. Select preferred institutes and courses.
  6. Add, remove or rearrange choices according to preference.
  7. Save the choices after selecting the preferred institute and course.
  8. Review all selected options carefully.
  9. Lock the choices before the specified deadline.
  10. Download the choice-filling form for future reference.
  11. Once the choices are locked, candidates cannot edit or modify them.

What Happens After Choice Locking?

After the Round 6 choice filling window closes, the JEECUP counselling committee will process seat allotment based on merit, candidate choices, category and seat availability.

Candidates who receive seats will need to:

  • Pay the prescribed seat acceptance fee within the given deadline.
  • Report to the allotted institute or designated verification centre.
  • Carry the required original documents.
  • Carry one set of self-attested copies of the documents for verification.
  • Complete the remaining admission formalities within the prescribed timeline.

  7. Lock the choices before the deadline.
  8. Keep scanned copies of all required documents ready.
  9. Keep the seat acceptance fee ready for the next stage.
  10. Preserve the choice-filling confirmation for future reference.
