Eligibility and Academic Requirements

Meeting the baseline eligibility is mandatory for seat allotment. VIT maintains strict standards regarding age and qualifying marks.

  • Age Limit: Candidates must be born on or after July 1, 2004, to be eligible for the 2026 admissions cycle.
  • Academic Performance: General category students require at least 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in Class 12.
  • Relaxation: For SC/ST and applicants from North-Eastern states, the aggregate requirement is relaxed to 50%.
  • Subject Streams: Candidates with a Mathematics background (MPCEA) are eligible for all B.Tech programs, while Biology students (BPCEA) are eligible for specific bio-stream courses.
