Official Release: The provisional seat allotment list is available on the official counselling portal of UTU, which is ukcounselling.nic.in (also accessible via uktech.ac.in).

Basis of Allotment: Seats have been allocated based on the JEE Main 2025 ranks of the candidates, followed by Class 12th marks (if JEE Main scores are not available), combined with the preferences of engineering colleges and specializations filled by Engineering Aspirants during the online choice filling process.

What it Means: The result indicates the provisional engineering college and course that a candidate has been allotted in this initial round of counselling. It is essential for all Engineering Aspirants to download their allotment letters.

Important Next Steps for Allotted Candidates and Further Counselling

Receiving an allotment letter is just the first step in the admission process. Engineering Aspirants must now complete crucial post-allotment formalities within strict deadlines to confirm their Higher Education seat in Uttarakhand.

Option Selection (Freeze/Float/Withdraw):

  • Freeze: If you are satisfied with the allotted seat and wish to confirm it, choose the 'Freeze' option. This means you accept the seat and will not participate in subsequent counselling rounds for an upgrade.
  • Float: If you wish to accept the current seat but also want to be considered for a better seat in subsequent rounds of counselling, choose the 'Float' option. Your current seat will be retained until a new allotment is made.
  • Withdraw: If you do not wish to accept the current allotment and also do not want to participate in further rounds, you can choose to 'Withdraw' from the counselling process.

Deadline: The period for selecting 'Freeze/Float/Withdraw' option is from July 3 to July 4, 2025. This means today is the last day to make this critical decision.

Seat Acceptance Fee Payment: Candidates who 'Freeze' or 'Float' their seat are required to pay a seat acceptance fee (typically INR 10,000) online within the specified timeframe.

Reporting to Allotted Institute:

After selecting their option and paying the fee, candidates must physically report to their provisionally allotted engineering college for document verification and completion of final admission formalities.

Reporting Dates: The deadline for reporting at the allotted engineering college for Round 1 is July 4 to July 8, 2025. Ensure you carry all original documents (JEE Main admit card & scorecard, Class 10/12 mark sheets, domicile and category certificates, provisional allotment letter, School Leaving Certificate, etc.) along with their photocopies.

Subsequent Counselling Rounds: For candidates who opted for 'Float' or were not allotted a seat in Round 1, UTU will conduct further rounds of counselling.

  • Round 2: Counselling fee deposition and online registration are scheduled for July 9 to 10, 2025. Choice filling will be from July 9 to 11, 2025, with seat allotment on July 15, 2025. Reporting for Round 2 will be from July 16 to 20, 2025.
  • Round 3: Registration and choice filling for Round 3 will be from July 21 to 22, 2025, and July 21 to 23, 2025, respectively. Seat allotment is on July 28, 2025, with reporting from July 29 to August 3, 2025.

Engineering Aspirants are strongly advised to meticulously follow the counselling schedule and all instructions released by UTU on ukcounselling.nic.in to ensure a smooth transition into their chosen Higher Education program.
