With the December SNAP 2025 sessions fast approaching, Symbiosis International University (SIU) has issued mandatory exam day guidelines. Aspirants must carry a color printout of the admit card with an affixed photo and an original, valid photo ID for verification. Strict adherence to the two-hour early reporting time is essential, as entry closes immediately upon the test start. Review the list of prohibited items—including all electronic devices and bags—to ensure a smooth and stress-free entry. Your success starts with following these crucial instructions.

The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) 2025 is one of the most crucial MBA entrance examinations for aspirants targeting admission into prestigious Symbiosis institutes like SIBM Pune, SCMHRD, and others. With the multiple-session Computer-Based Test (CBT) scheduled for December, the Symbiosis Test Secretariat (STS) has released a mandatory set of Exam Day Guidelines that candidates must adhere to strictly. These rules are non-negotiable and failure to follow them can lead to immediate denial of entry to the test center.

The key to a stress-free SNAP experience is meticulous preparation, not just for the exam content, but also for the logistical requirements of the test day itself. The main focus is on timely arrival and document verification, ensuring the integrity of the examination process. Every aspirant must treat the day's instructions with the same seriousness as their academic preparation.

Essential Documents: The Triple-Check Policy

The verification process at the SNAP test center is rigorous. Candidates must be prepared with the following three mandatory documents in the specified format for identity check and authentication by the invigilator.

  • Color Printout of SNAP Admit Card:
    • Strictly Color: Only a color printout of the SNAP Admit Card will be accepted. Black and white printouts are invalid and will lead to denial of entry.
    • Affixed Photograph: Candidates must paste their latest passport-size color photograph (preferably the same one uploaded during registration) in the designated space on the printed admit card.
    • Preservation: The authenticated and stamped Admit Card must be preserved safely, as it is mandatory for subsequent admission rounds, including the Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interview (PI), and Written Ability Test (WAT).
  • Original, Valid Photo Identity Proof:
    • Original Only: Candidates must carry the original government-issued photo identity proof that matches the details on the Admit Card. Soft copies or photocopies of the ID will not be accepted.
    • Acceptable IDs: The accepted forms of photo identification include: Passport, Driving License, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, or Aadhaar Card (with photograph).
  • Black/Blue Ballpoint Pen:
    • While the SNAP is a CBT, candidates are advised to carry a simple Black or Blue Ballpoint Pen for signing the attendance sheet and rough work (though rough sheets are provided at the center).

Punctuality and Security Protocol: The Two-Hour Rule

The stringent timing and security protocols are designed to manage the large number of candidates efficiently while preventing malpractices. Symbiosis has clearly mandated a two-hour early reporting requirement.

  • Mandatory Reporting Time: Candidates must report to the test center at least two hours prior to the scheduled start time mentioned on their Admit Card. For a morning session starting at 10:00 AM, the reporting time would typically be 8:00 AM.
  • The Entry Cut-Off: Entry closes after the start time of the test. This is a critical point; once the exam officially begins, latecomers will not be permitted entry under any circumstances. Candidates are strongly advised to check the test center location a day in advance to account for traffic or travel delays.
  • Verification and Biometrics: The initial reporting time is utilized for essential processes:
    • Security Check: Mandatory frisking and verification of documents.
    • Admit Card and ID Verification: Cross-checking the identity of the candidate with the photo ID and the affixed photo on the Admit Card.
    • Biometric Data Capture: Image and fingerprint data capture for all candidates to ensure no impersonation occurs.
  • COVID-19 Safety Measures (If Applicable): Depending on the health advisory at the time, candidates may also be required to follow specific safety protocols such as wearing a mask, maintaining social distancing, and carrying personal hand sanitizer, as instructed in the Admit Card.

Prohibited Items: What to Leave at Home

To maintain a fair and secure testing environment, a strict list of prohibited items is enforced. Candidates should leave these items at home, as test centers typically do not provide locker facilities for personal belongings.

  • Electronic Devices: All forms of electronic and communication devices are strictly banned. This includes mobile phones, smartwatches/digital watches, calculators, digital pens, earphones/headphones, and cameras.
  • Study Material and Paper: Any kind of study material, printed or handwritten notes, chits, textbooks, or loose sheets of paper are prohibited. Only the rough sheets provided by the invigilator can be used inside the lab.
  • Bags and Accessories: Large bags, purses, belts with large buckles, caps, hats, and any form of jewellery or metallic items that could potentially conceal devices should be avoided. Simple and comfortable attire is recommended to simplify the security check.
  • Other Prohibited Items: Food items, beverages (other than water in a transparent bottle), and any personal electronic gadget or device with memory storage are strictly forbidden.

Conclusion

The SNAP 2025 examination is a high-stakes, speed-based test, and preparedness extends beyond the syllabus. By strictly adhering to the Symbiosis guidelines—ensuring the color printout of the admit card, carrying the original photo ID, and reaching the test center two hours early—aspirants can navigate the test day logistics without stress. A smooth entry allows you to channel your full focus into tackling the 60 questions in 60 minutes. Your commitment to following these administrative protocols is the final, essential step in your journey to securing a seat in a top Symbiosis MBA program.
