The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has officially released the Round 3 Seat Allotment results for NIFT Admissions 2025 today, July 28, 2025. This crucial announcement brings a significant update for thousands of fashion and design aspirants who participated in the counselling process for B.Des, B.F.Tech, M.Des, M.F.M., and M.F.Tech programs across various NIFT campuses.
Candidates who applied for NIFT Counselling 2025 can now check their allotment status by logging into the official NIFT admissions portal: nift.admissions.nic.in.
Crucial Next Steps and Deadlines for Allotted Candidates:
Upon checking the allotment results, shortlisted candidates must act swiftly to confirm their admission. The timeline for the next steps is extremely tight:
- Willingness Submission (Freeze/Float) & Admission Fee Payment:
- Dates: July 28, 2025, to July 29, 2025 (until 12:00 Midnight)
- Action: Candidates must log in to their portal and submit their 'willingness' (Freeze to accept the allotted seat, Float to accept but be considered for an upgrade in subsequent rounds if applicable) and proceed with the payment of the admission fee. The initial non-refundable counselling registration fee of INR 9,300 will be adjusted against the total admission fee.
- Withdrawal from Admission (with Refund):
- Dates: July 28, 2025, to July 29, 2025 (until 12:00 Midnight)
- Action: Candidates wishing to withdraw their admission from NIFT in this round can do so within this window to be eligible for a full refund of fees paid (excluding the registration fee).
- Mandatory Physical Reporting at Allotted Institute:
- Date: July 30, 2025
- Action: All candidates who have successfully confirmed their seat by submitting willingness and paying the fee MUST physically report to their respective allotted NIFT campus on this date. This is a mandatory step for document verification and completion of admission formalities. Failure to report will lead to forfeiture of the allotted seat.
Documents Required for Physical Reporting:
Candidates appearing for physical reporting must carry all original documents along with self-attested photocopies. The extensive list of required documents includes:
- 10th Class Certificate and Marksheet
- 12th Class Marksheet and Certificate (For 5-year UG programs)
- Undergraduate Degree/Diploma Certificate and Marksheets (For PG programs, or an undertaking if final year results are awaited)
- Transfer Certificate (TC)
- Migration Certificate (if applicable)
- Character Certificate
- Valid Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/EWS) issued by a competent authority in the Government of India format. (OBC-NCL and EWS certificates must be issued on or after April 1, 2024).
- Domicile Certificate (if applying under domicile quota)
- Income Certificate/Ration Card (for fee reimbursement/scholarship eligibility)
- Medical Fitness Certificate (as per NIFT Annexure-V)
- Undertakings for Provisional Admission (Annexure-I), Anti-Ragging (Annexure-II), and Refund of Fees (Annexure-IV), as applicable.
- Passport and valid Visa/Work Permit (for NRI/Foreign National sponsored candidates)
- Any other documents as specified in the NIFT Admission Guidelines 2025.
