Key Updates from States and MCC

  1. Madhya Pradesh (MP): The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) is scheduled to announce the Round 1 seat allotment result today. This list is crucial for candidates seeking admission to the 43 government and private medical and dental colleges in the state. Once the results are out, the college reporting period will be from August 19 to August 23, during which candidates must complete their document verification and admission formalities.
  2. Rajasthan: The Rajasthan NEET UG counselling committee is set to publish its Round 1 seat allotment results today. The physical reporting and document verification for the selected candidates will take place from August 19 to August 24.
  3. Tamil Nadu: The Directorate of Medical Education and Research will declare the Round 1 allotment results today, providing clarity for 72,194 aspiring students.
  4. Uttar Pradesh (UP): The physical college reporting for MBBS and BDS admissions begins today, August 18, and will continue until August 26.
  5. Kerala: The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE Kerala) is slated to release the final allotment list for 5,946 candidates in its first round today. The reporting period for these candidates is scheduled from August 19 to August 24.
  6. Maharashtra: The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has already released its Round 1 allotment results, provisionally selecting 38,372 candidates.
  7. West Bengal: The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee has released a revised state merit list, and a total of 11,178 students are now eligible for counselling for 5,589 MBBS and BDS seats.

Important Reminders for Students

The MCC has extended the NEET UG Round 1 college reporting deadline until August 22. This extension provides a much-needed window for candidates who need more time to complete their admission formalities, including document verification and fee payments. Students who have not been allotted a seat in Round 1 or wish to upgrade their seat can now look forward to the second round. The MCC has already released the schedule for Round 2, with registration and payment from August 21 to 26, followed by choice filling from August 22 to 26. The reporting for Round 2 will be from August 30 to September 5. This is an important opportunity for aspiring students to secure a seat in a better college or get a seat in their preferred choice.
