Aspiring medical students are reminded that the registration window for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2025 is closing soon. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been accepting applications since February 7, 2025, with the final submission deadline set for March 7, 2025, at 11:50 PM. This examination is a crucial step for those aiming to secure admissions into undergraduate medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, and other allied programs across India.

  • Registration Period: February 7, 2025 – March 7, 2025 (up to 11:50 PM)
  • Application Correction Window: March 9 – March 11, 2025

  • Examination Date: May 4, 2025

Steps to Complete NEET 2025 Registration

  1. Visit the Official Website: Navigate to the NTA's NEET portal at neet.nta.nic.in.
  2. New Registration: Click on the 'New Registration' link and read the provided instructions carefully.
  3. Fill in Application Form: Provide personal, academic, and contact details as required.
  4. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-sized photograph, signature, and other necessary documents in the specified format.
  5. Payment of Application Fee: Pay the application fee online using debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.
  6. Print Confirmation Page: After successful submission, print the confirmation page for future reference.

Application Fee Details

  • General Category: INR 1,600
  • General-EWS/ OBC-NCL: INR 1,500
  • SC/ST/PwD/Transgender: INR 900
  • Outside India: INR 8,500

Key Changes in NEET 2025 Exam Pattern

  • Total Questions: 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
  • Subjects Covered: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology)
  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Marking Scheme: +4 for each correct answer, -1 for each incorrect answer

Notably, the NTA has revised the NEET 2025 exam pattern by removing Section B and the optional questions, reverting to the pre-COVID format. Candidates will now answer 180 questions within the allotted time of 3 hours.
