A pivotal moment has arrived for thousands of engineering aspirants across Maharashtra. The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, is set to announce the MHT CET 2025 CAP (Centralized Admission Process) Round 1 Provisional Seat Allotment Results today, July 31, 2025. This declaration will determine the initial college and course assignments for candidates seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech programs in various government, government-aided, university-managed, and unaided private engineering colleges within the state.

Candidates who participated in the Round 1 option entry process, which concluded on July 28, 2025, can access their allotment status by logging in to the official website: fe2025.mahacet.org. While a specific time for the release has not been officially confirmed, past trends suggest the results are usually published by late evening, likely between 5 PM and 8 PM.

How to Check Your Allotment:

  1. Visit the official website: fe2025.mahacet.org.
  2. Look for the link related to "MHT CET 2025 CAP Round 1 Provisional Allotment Result" or "Check Provisional Allotment Status CAP Round 1" on the homepage.
  3. Click on the link and enter your Application ID (which typically starts with EN25) and Date of Birth.
  4. Submit the details to view your seat allotment status.
  5. Download and print your provisional allotment letter for future reference.

What to Do After the Result Declaration – Crucial Steps:

Upon checking their allotment status, candidates will have a defined window to confirm their admission based on their preferences. The key options available are 'Freeze' and 'Float', which must be exercised by August 3, 2025, at 3:00 PM:

  • 1. Understanding 'Freeze' and 'Float' Options:
    • Freeze: If a candidate is completely satisfied with the allotted seat (especially if it was their first preference) and does not wish to be considered for any further rounds of counselling, they should choose the 'Freeze' option. If the first preference is allotted, the system will auto-freeze the seat.
    • Float: If a candidate is allotted a seat which is not their first preference, and they wish to accept the current seat but also desire to be considered for a better-preferred choice in subsequent CAP rounds (Round 2, etc.), they should choose the 'Float' option.
    • Self-Freeze: If a candidate is allotted an option other than their first preference but is satisfied with it and wishes to finalize it, they can manually choose 'Self-Freeze'.
  • 2. Payment of Seat Acceptance Fee:
    • Irrespective of choosing 'Freeze' or 'Float', candidates must pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (typically online) through their login. This payment is mandatory to confirm the allotted seat and proceed further. The window for accepting the offered seat and paying the fees is from August 1 to August 3, 2025.
  • 3. Reporting to Allotted Institute / Allotment Reporting Centre (ARC):
    • After accepting the seat and paying the fee online, candidates must physically report to the Allotted Institute (College) or a designated Allotment Reporting Centre (ARC). This process, including document verification and confirmation of admission, is scheduled from August 1 to August 3, 2025, up to 5:00 PM.
    • For 'Freeze' candidates: Reporting to the Allotted Institute is mandatory to confirm the admission and pay the remaining college fees.
    • For 'Float' candidates: Reporting to the Allotted Institute or designated ARC is also mandatory. After document verification, candidates will receive an acknowledgment receipt. They will pay the seat acceptance fees and retain their current seat while being considered for higher preferences in subsequent rounds.

Documents Required for Reporting:

Candidates must carry all original documents along with self-attested photocopies for verification at the allotted institute/ARC. A comprehensive list usually includes:

  • MHT CET 2025 Scorecard & Admit Card
  • NEET UG 2025 Marksheet (if applicable, for verification of percentile)
  • Class 10th Mark Sheet & Passing Certificate
  • Class 12th Mark Sheet & Passing Certificate
  • Domicile Certificate of Maharashtra
  • Nationality Certificate
  • School Leaving Certificate/Transfer Certificate
  • Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate (if applicable)
  • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (for OBC/NT, if applicable, issued after April 1, 2025)
  • EWS Certificate (if applicable, issued after April 1, 2025)
  • PwD Certificate (if applicable)
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Online Application Form (duly filled and printed)
  • Seat Acceptance Fee Payment Receipt
  • Provisional Allotment Letter

Candidates are advised to frequently check fe2025.mahacet.org for the latest announcements, detailed schedule for subsequent rounds, and any specific instructions from the CET Cell. Missing the deadlines for seat acceptance and reporting will lead to forfeiture of the allotted seat.
