MHT CET 2025 CAP Round 1 Seat Allotment Result Out; Seat Acceptance Window Open from Today
MHT CET 2025 CAP Round 1 seat allotment results were released on July 31. Candidates must accept their seats and report to their allotted institutes by August 3.

The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, has released the results for the first round of the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for MHT CET 2025. The provisional seat allotment list for engineering (BE/B.Tech) admissions was made available yesterday, July 31, 2025, on the official website, fe2025.mahacet.org.
Candidates who have been allotted a seat in CAP Round 1 must now take action to confirm their admission. The crucial window for seat acceptance and reporting to the designated institutes begins today, August 1, 2025, and will close on August 3, 2025.
What to do after getting an allotment:
Upon checking the allotment status on the official portal, candidates will have two primary options:
- Freeze: If you are satisfied with the allotted college and course (especially if it was your first preference), you must "freeze" the seat. This confirms your admission for this round, and you will not be eligible to participate in subsequent rounds. You must pay the seat acceptance fee online and then report to the allotted institute for document verification and fee payment by the deadline.
- Float: If you are satisfied with the allotted seat but wish to be considered for a higher-preference seat in subsequent rounds, you can choose the "float" option. You must still pay the seat acceptance fee to retain your current allotment while being considered for an upgrade.
Candidates who did not get a seat in Round 1 are automatically eligible for Round 2.
Key Dates to Remember:
- Seat Acceptance and Reporting: August 1 to August 3, 2025 (by 5:00 PM)
- Release of Vacant Seats for Round 2: August 4, 2025
- Round 2 Option Form Submission: August 5 to August 7, 2025
- Round 2 Seat Allotment Result: August 11, 2025
Aspirants are advised to carefully read the instructions on the official website and have all their original documents ready for physical reporting. Failure to complete the seat acceptance and reporting process within the given timeframe will result in the forfeiture of the allotted seat.
