This article breaks down the tight schedule and crucial next steps.

The postgraduate medical admission journey in the state of Kerala is moving forward rapidly, providing a welcome sense of certainty for thousands of NEET PG aspirants. The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, the state’s counselling authority, has successfully completed the first crucial phase of Option Registration (Choice Filling) for the 2025 academic session. This phase, which opened on November 6, 2025, and closed strictly on November 12, 2025, at 5 PM, required eligible candidates to submit their final, prioritised list of preferred MD/MS/DNB courses and colleges within the State Quota.

With the choice-filling window now closed, the focus immediately shifts to the results of the allocation process. The official schedule confirms that the Provisional Allotment List for Round 1 is due to be published today, November 14, 2025. This will be followed swiftly by the Final Allotment List on November 15, 2025, kicking off the physically demanding reporting and joining process. Candidates must be fully prepared to act quickly to secure their allotted seats.

Round 1 Schedule: Two Days of High Stakes

The CEE Kerala has released a precise and fast-moving schedule for the first round of allotment. Aspirants must be keenly aware of these dates as missing a deadline could lead to the cancellation of their candidature.

  • Option Registration Closed:
    • November 12, 2025 (5 PM): The final window for submitting and locking choices (Web Options) has closed. No further changes are permitted for Round 1.
  • Provisional Allotment Result:
    • November 14, 2025 (Today): The provisional list will be published on cee.kerala.gov.in. This list indicates the likely seat allocation based on the candidate’s rank, choices, and reservation category.
  • Final Allotment Result:
    • November 15, 2025: The confirmed, non-reversible Round 1 final seat allotment will be released. Candidates must download their Allotment Memo from the portal immediately upon release.
  • Mandatory Reporting and Joining:
    • November 17, 2025, to November 20, 2025 (4 PM): The four-day window for candidates to pay the prescribed fee and report to their finally allotted college for physical document verification and admission confirmation.

Crucial Note: The provisional list on November 14 is for preview. The final allocation and subsequent financial and joining formalities are based strictly on the Final Allotment Result on November 15, 2025.

Financial & Formal Obligations Post-Allotment

Securing a seat is only the first part of the post-allotment process. Candidates must fulfil several formal and financial obligations within the stipulated reporting window to confirm their admission.

  • Security Deposit Payment:
    • All candidates who successfully registered their options were required to pay a non-refundable security deposit at the time of choice filling.
      • General Category: ₹10,000
      • SC/ST/OEC Categories: ₹5,000
  • Fee Structure and Tuition Payment:
    • The tuition fee for Government Medical Colleges is significantly lower (historically under ₹1 lakh/year). However, fees for Self-Financing/Private colleges can range widely, often between ₹12 lakh and ₹35 lakh per annum for clinical courses, depending on the institution and quota. Candidates must have the funds ready to pay the applicable first-year tuition fee as per the official government order and the college’s fee structure.
  • Document Verification at College:
    • Candidates must carry all original documents and their respective photocopies, along with the printed Allotment Memo, to the allotted college. This includes the NEET PG 2025 Score Card, all mark sheets, MBBS degree certificate, internship certificate, and State Medical Council Registration.
    • The college will perform the physical verification before confirming the admission.

Strategic Considerations for Round 1 Allotment

The Kerala counselling process operates on strict rules regarding seat acceptance and retention. Aspirants must understand the implications of their Round 1 allotment.

  • Acceptance and Upgradation:
    • A candidate who is allotted a seat in Round 1 and wishes to keep it and be considered for a better choice in Round 2 must join the allotted college and indicate their willingness for upgradation during the reporting process.
    • A candidate who gets a seat but does not report to the allotted college within the deadline will forfeit their seat and may be ineligible for subsequent rounds of state counselling (check official prospectus for exact rules).
  • The Power of Option Prioritisation:
    • Since the option registration is now closed, candidates who were meticulous in listing their choices in decreasing order of preference will benefit. The allotment is computerised, ensuring candidates are given the highest available choice on their list based on their merit rank.
  • Service Quota Considerations:
    • Separate provisional and final lists have been published for Service Quota candidates (State and Central), and their allotment will proceed according to the same time frame, allowing for distinct competition amongst in-service doctors.

Conclusion

With the Kerala NEET PG 2025 provisional allotment due today, November 14, the next few days will be defining for every aspirant seeking a seat in the state. Candidates must visit cee.kerala.gov.in promptly to check their provisional and final allotment status. Speed, documentation readiness, and financial preparedness are now paramount to successfully navigating the final stages of the Round 1 admission process, ensuring a smooth transition into their postgraduate medical training.
