II. Registration & Eligibility Protocol for Counselling
Participation in the seat allocation rounds is mandatory for all qualified candidates, and it requires strict adherence to the following steps:
- Mandatory Online Registration: All provisionally qualified candidates must separately register online for the counselling process using their existing login credentials on the official AIIMS portal.
- Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates must carefully select and prioritise their desired institutions and super-speciality courses. Failure to lock choices before the deadline will lead to automatic locking, and no changes will be permitted thereafter.
- Merit Lists: Seat allocation will be conducted based on two distinct merit lists:
- Common Merit List (CML): Used for admission to all participating INIs (JIPMER, NIMHANS, SCTIMST, etc.).
- Allocation Merit List (AML): Used specifically for admission to AIIMS seats, which includes scores from both Stage-I and Stage-II (Departmental Assessment).
- Document Readiness: Candidates must keep all original documents (MD/MS/DNB degree, registration certificate, category certificates, etc.) ready for submission and verification at the allotted college during the physical reporting phase.
