In a significant push toward vocational training, the Union Cabinet has approved the National ITI Scheme, introducing a large-scale upgradation of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across India. Under this initiative, five Centres of Excellence (CoEs) will be established to enhance the quality of technical education and create a more industry-aligned workforce.
