NEET PG 2025: All India Quota Counselling Schedule Expected This Week; Supreme Court Hearing Awaited
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is set to release the NEET PG 2025 AIQ counselling schedule for MD/MS admissions. The process will proceed despite an ongoing Supreme Court plea for exam transparency, with the next hearing scheduled for September 16.

In a crucial update for thousands of medical graduates, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to announce the counselling schedule for NEET PG 2025 this week. The schedule will govern admissions for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses for the 2025-26 academic year. This much-awaited notification will bring much-needed clarity for aspirants who have been waiting for the admission process to commence since the NEET PG 2025 results were declared on August 19, 2025.
Counselling to Proceed Despite Court Plea
The MCC's decision to move forward with the counselling schedule comes amidst an ongoing legal challenge in the Supreme Court. A plea filed by a group of aspirants and doctors is seeking greater transparency in the exam process, particularly challenging the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) for not releasing the full question paper along with the answer key.
The Supreme Court, while hearing the plea, has declined to grant a stay on the counselling process. The next tentative hearing is scheduled for September 16, 2025. This means that, unless a stay is specifically granted on that date, the counselling and seat allotment will continue as per the MCC's schedule. Aspirants are advised to proceed with their preparations, as the legal matter is not expected to delay the initial rounds of counselling.
What Aspirants Need to Do
With the schedule imminent, candidates must be ready to act quickly. The first step will be the online registration on the official MCC website. This will be followed by choice filling, where candidates rank their preferred colleges and courses. The official MCC information bulletin will provide all the necessary details, including the counselling fees, required documents, and a detailed seat matrix.
It is highly recommended for all eligible candidates to have their documents ready, including their NEET PG 2025 scorecard, category certificates, MBBS marks sheets, and internship completion certificate.
