The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, has officially released the seat allotment list for the second round of MP NEET UG 2025 counselling. This is a major update for thousands of medical aspirants who are seeking to secure a seat in MBBS and BDS courses across the state's government and private medical and dental colleges. The second round of counselling is a crucial stage for candidates who either did not get an allotment in the first round or were looking to upgrade their seats. The list of allotted candidates is now available on the official website of the DME MP.

The MP NEET UG 2025 counselling process is a vital step in the medical admission journey, and staying informed about the latest developments is essential. The publication of the Round 2 list marks the progression of the counselling process, allowing aspirants to finalize their admission or prepare for subsequent rounds. All candidates who have been allotted a seat are advised to download their provisional allotment letter from the official portal and prepare for the next steps.

Key Deadlines for Allotted Candidates

For all candidates who have been allotted a seat in the second round, a specific timeline must be followed to confirm their medical admission. Adhering to these deadlines is paramount to avoid any forfeiture of the seat.

  • Reporting to Allotted Colleges: Candidates must report to their respective medical or dental colleges between September 23 and September 29, 2025. This period is for document verification, submission of the allotment letter, and completing the necessary admission formalities. It is mandatory to carry all original documents as specified in the official notification. These documents include the NEET UG 2025 admit card, scorecard, domicile certificate, and other academic records.
  • Resignation Facility: For candidates who have been allotted a seat but no longer wish to pursue admission to that particular college, the resignation facility is available. The online resignation or cancellation option can be exercised from September 23 to October 4, 2025. It's important to be aware that resigning after this period might lead to penalties, including the forfeiture of the security deposit, and can make the candidate ineligible for subsequent counselling rounds.

Upgradation and Mop-Up Round Process

One of the key features of the MP NEET UG 2025 counselling is the option for seat upgradation. This allows candidates who have secured a seat in either Round 1 or Round 2 to express their willingness to be considered for a better-preferred college in the upcoming mop-up round.

  • Upgradation Option: The option to upgrade seats for the mop-up round can be exercised at the time of admission at the college level. The window for this is from September 23 to October 4, 2025. All candidates who wish to participate in the mop-up round must explicitly state their willingness for upgradation while reporting to their currently allotted college. Failing to do so will result in the candidate being ineligible for the mop-up round.
  • Mop-Up Round: The mop-up round is conducted to fill the vacant seats after the first two rounds of counselling. It provides a final opportunity for aspirants to get a seat in their dream medical college. The seats that become available through upgradations or resignations will be part of the seat matrix for the mop-up round.
