The College-Level Counselling (CLC) Round 2 for MP B.Tech admissions starts today, August 7. Get details on the online registration, physical reporting dates, and the required documents.

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh, has officially commenced the second round of College-Level Counselling (CLC) today, August 7, 2025. This round is a crucial final opportunity for B.Tech aspirants who have not yet secured a seat in the previous centralized rounds. Unlike the initial Centralized Counselling (CPC), CLC is conducted directly by the colleges for the seats that remain vacant. This decentralized approach allows candidates to apply to specific colleges of their choice.

The CLC is divided into multiple rounds, and the schedule for the second round of registration is from August 7 to August 10, 2025. This is a vital window for candidates to register online and prepare for the next step, which is physical reporting and document verification at the institute level.

Understanding the CLC Process

The CLC process is distinct from the centralized rounds. It is specifically designed to fill the seats that remain vacant after the completion of the first two centralized rounds of counselling. Here's a breakdown of the key steps involved in this round:

  1. Online Registration: Candidates must register on the DTE MP online portal. This is a mandatory first step. It involves providing personal details, academic information, and a valid JEE Main score or Class 12 marks, depending on the admission criteria.
  2. Merit List by College: After the registration period closes, each college will prepare its own merit list based on the applications received and the candidates' ranks or qualifying exam scores. The merit list will be published on the respective college websites.
  3. Physical Reporting to Colleges: This is the most crucial step. Candidates must report in person to the colleges where they wish to secure a seat, carrying all original documents and a set of photocopies. The physical reporting date for this round is scheduled for August 11, 2025.
  4. Seat Allotment and Admission: The college will conduct the seat allotment on-site, based on the merit list and the availability of seats. Successful candidates must pay the admission fee and complete all formalities on the same day to confirm their admission.

Eligibility and Required Documents

The CLC round is open to a broad category of aspirants, including those who did not register in the previous rounds or were not allotted a seat. Candidates who were allotted a seat but did not confirm their admission are also eligible.

Aspirants must be ready with the following documents for verification at the college:

  • DTE MP Online Registration Slip
  • JEE Main 2025 Scorecard (if applicable)
  • Class 10th and 12th Marksheets and Passing Certificates
  • Domicile Certificate of Madhya Pradesh
  • Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, Passport, etc.)
  • Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC)
  • Income and EWS Certificates (if applicable)
  • Transfer Certificate and Character Certificate

This round represents a final and significant opportunity for many students to gain admission to an engineering program in Madhya Pradesh. Candidates are strongly advised to check the official DTE MP website and the websites of individual colleges for the most up-to-date information and to avoid any last-minute complications.
