The anticipation for thousands of medical aspirants in Kerala has finally come to an end. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala has published the final allotment result for Round 1 of the NEET UG 2025 counselling on its official website, cee.kerala.gov.in. This result is a pivotal step for the 5,946 candidates vying for seats in MBBS and BDS courses across the state.

The allotment list, released today, is the culmination of a rigorous counselling process that saw a provisional list revised after the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) postponed its All India Quota (AIQ) counselling. This adjustment was made to ensure a fair and streamlined process for all candidates, preventing any conflict between the AIQ and state quota admissions.

What Allotted Candidates Must Do Now

With the final allotment result now available, the next phase for all allotted candidates is to complete their admission formalities. The college reporting process is scheduled to begin tomorrow, August 19, 2025, and will continue until August 24, 2025. It is imperative for all candidates to report to their assigned colleges within this specific timeframe to secure their seats.

Here is a step-by-step guide for candidates to successfully complete their admission:

  1. Download the Allotment Result: Visit the official website cee.kerala.gov.in. Navigate to the NEET UG counselling section and find the link for the Round 1 final allotment result. Download the PDF file and find your name and roll number to check the details of your allotted college and course.
  2. Download and Print the Allotment Letter: The allotment letter is a crucial document that must be presented at the time of admission. Make sure to download and print it.
  3. Prepare All Necessary Documents: Candidates must carry both the original and photocopies of a list of essential documents. This includes the NEET UG 2025 Admit Card and Scorecard, Class 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates, nativity certificate, and other relevant documents based on reservation categories (e.g., OBC, SC/ST, PwD).
  4. Report to the College: Report to the allotted college for physical verification of your documents and completion of the admission procedures. You will be required to pay the admission fees at this stage.

Looking Ahead: Round 2 and Beyond

For students who were not allotted a seat in Round 1, this is not the end of the road. The CEE Kerala will soon announce the schedule for Round 2 of the counselling process. This next phase will provide another chance for candidates to secure a seat, with the addition of any vacant seats from Round 1.

Aspirants who are interested in an upgrade from their current seat may also participate in the second round. However, it is crucial to understand the rules of the counselling process. Once a seat is upgraded in a subsequent round, the previous seat is automatically forfeited and cannot be reclaimed.
