The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has issued an urgent final reminder for the INI-CET January 2026 session for admission to postgraduate courses (MD, MS, M.Ch., DM, MDS, etc.) at Institutes of National Importance (INIs) like AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER, NIMHANS, and SCTIMST.
Aspirants must note that the online window for INI-CET registration and making necessary corrections to previously submitted applications will close today, October 21, 2025, at 5:00 PM sharp. This deadline is critical and no extensions are expected for the final submission.

What Aspirants Must Do Right Now
- New Applicants: If you have not yet completed your One-Time Registration (OTR) and the subsequent application form, you must do so immediately on the official AIIMS website, aiimsexams.ac.in, before the 5:00 PM cut-off. Ensure your application fee is successfully paid and the confirmation page is generated.
- Registered Candidates: Candidates who completed the basic registration must check their application status to ensure it has been accepted. If you have any pending tasks or need to generate your Exam Unique Code (EUC), this is your last chance.
- Correction Window: The initial application window also allows for correction of details or re-uploading of rejected images (Photograph, Signature, or Thumb Impression). Review your application carefully and make any necessary changes. Note: A specific correction window for rejected images is scheduled from October 24 to 26, 2025.
Eligibility Snapshot: To be eligible, candidates must hold an MBBS/BDS degree and complete their mandatory 12-month rotating internship on or before December 31, 2025. A minimum aggregate of 55% for General/OBC/EWS and 50% for SC/ST is typically required.
Looking Ahead: The Exam and Beyond
The INI-CET January 2026 examination is scheduled for November 9, 2025. Aspirants should now intensify their revision, focusing on high-yield topics and clinical subjects. The exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) with 200 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and a negative marking of -1/3 mark for every incorrect answer. The admit cards are expected to be uploaded on November 1, 2025.
