For thousands of engineering aspirants across India, the Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE) serves as a crucial gateway to prestigious Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programs at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. With both phases of AEEE 2025 now successfully concluded and results declared, the focus has entirely shifted to the Centralized Seat Allotment Process (CSAP), which is currently underway. Candidates aiming for B.Tech Admission at Amrita's various campuses should actively participate in the ongoing counselling to secure their desired engineering discipline.

Amrita University offers Engineering Admission based on two channels: either through the Amrita Entrance Exam (AEEE) scores or valid JEE Main scores, with 70% of seats allocated via AEEE and 30% via JEE Main. Candidates who appeared for either or both examinations can utilize their best score for admission. This dual pathway provides a wider opportunity for students to join one of India's leading private universities known for its strong academic curriculum, research focus, and global collaborations.

AEEE 2025 Exam Overview and Important Dates

The AEEE 2025 was conducted in two phases, providing students with multiple opportunities to perform their best. Understanding the timeline of this comprehensive Amrita Entrance Exam is crucial for candidates tracking their B.Tech Admission journey.

  • Application Commencement: Applications for AEEE 2025 Phase 1 began in October 2024, followed by Phase 2 applications starting in February 2025. The final deadline for Phase 2 applications was May 1, 2025.
  • Examination Dates:
    • AEEE 2025 Phase 1: Held from February 1 to 3, 2025.
    • AEEE 2025 Phase 2: Conducted from May 7 to 11, 2025. Both phases were conducted as Computer-Based Tests (CBT) across various centers.
  • Result Declaration:
    • Phase 1 results were declared on February 8, 2025.
    • Phase 2 results were released by May 15, 2025. Candidates can access their scorecards by logging into the Amrita Online Admission Portal (AOAP) at aoap.amrita.edu using their registered credentials. The best score from the two phases (if a candidate appeared for both) is considered for merit ranking.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for AEEE 2025, candidates must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), with not less than 55% in each of these three subjects. Age criteria also apply, typically for candidates born on or after July 1, 2003.

For aspiring engineers, familiarizing themselves with the structure and requirements of the Amrita Entrance Exam is the first step towards a successful Engineering Admission at Amrita University.

Amrita B.Tech Admission 2025: The Centralized Seat Allotment Process (CSAP)

Once the AEEE 2025 results are out, the journey culminates in the Centralized Seat Allotment Process (CSAP). This online counselling process is mandatory for all eligible candidates, whether they apply through AEEE or JEE Main scores, to secure their B.Tech Admission.

  • CSAP Registration: Candidates must register online for CSAP on the aoap.amrita.edu portal. This involves submitting their academic preferences (campus and branch choices) and personal details. It is critical to carefully fill choices in order of preference.
  • Trial Allotment: Before the final seat allotment, JoSAA typically conducts a trial allotment to give candidates an idea of their potential seat based on their choices and rank. For AEEE 2025, the trial allotment for Round 1 was released on June 2, 2025.
  • Round 1 Seat Allotment: The first seat allotment result for AEEE 2025 CSAP Round 1 was released on June 5, 2025. Candidates can check their provisional allotment on the official portal.
  • Seat Acceptance & Fees: Upon allotment, candidates must decide to 'Freeze', 'Float', or 'Slide' their seat and pay the required seat acceptance fee within the stipulated timeframe. This confirms their participation in the Counselling Process.
  • Document Verification: Physical or online document verification may be required, where candidates must present their original mark sheets, certificates, and other relevant documents for verification.
  • Subsequent Rounds: Amrita University conducts multiple rounds of counselling (including Round 2, Mop-up Round, etc.) to fill all available seats. The second allotment list is expected on June 17, 2025. Candidates who opted for 'Float' or 'Slide' will be considered in these subsequent rounds.
